Garden of Sena Freitas

In the past there was a small chapel dedicated to São José that served as a parish, but was destroyed in the 19th century due to a fire.

100 years later there was a new fire, which destroyed the first Micaelense theater.

Castanheiro da india (Aesculus hippocastanum)

O castanheiro-da-Índia é uma árvore frondosa, de folha caduca, até 25-35 (40) m de altura. A sua origem é do este da Europa, mais concretamente noroeste da Grécia, centro e sul da Albânia e Bulgária.

Palmeiras das canarias (Phoenix canariensis)

A tamareira-das-canárias é uma palmeira robusta e muito rústica. De tronco único, com cerca de 70 a 90 cm de diâmetro, ela pode alcançar 20 metros de altura. Apresenta folhas pinadas e longas, com folíolos afilados, de coloração verde-brilhante.

Olaia (Cercis siliquastrum)

Pertencente à família Fabaceae ou Leguminosae, subfamília Caesalpiniaceae, género Cercis, a Cercis siliquastrum é uma pequena árvore de folha caduca que pode atingir 5 a 7 m de altura. Possui folhas de 6 a 10 cm, cordiformes e verde-escuras.
